Golden, BC is nestled in the East Columbia River Valley between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. It's centrally located in one of the most scenic mountain locations in Canada and is an outdoor paradise offering: skiing, hiking, photography, hang-gliding, camping, fishing, rafting, wildlife viewing.
Surrounded by 6 National Parks: Banff, Jasper, Glacier, Yoho, Kootenay and Mt Revelstoke; Beautiful 360 degree views are abundant from many parts of the area. It lies along the Trans Canada Highway 75 Km west of the Alberta/BC border and 325 km north of the Canada/US border at Montana and Idaho. It's 150 kilometers east of Three Valley Gap, BC and 81 kilometers from the famous Rogers Pass.
Being located in the center of Canada's Rocky Mountain Parks, it's situated amongst some of the largest ski resorts in Canada, including Lake Louise Resort, Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Kicking Horse Resort.
Insider Tip - Most people who visit the area miss some of the most spectacular sights in the Rocky Mountains. Emerald Lake, BC and Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park are 60 kilometers east of here and makes for an excellent day trip.
To the west, hiking in Glacier National Park is amazing!
