Hiking Waterton National Park - Atop of the Bear's Hump

The Best Hike in Alberta, Canada

This photo was taken atop of the in Waterton National park. This is a short but steep hike and has one of the best views in the Canadian Rockies. It's a short hike, taking only 40 minutes to reach the top (with plenty of breaks) but what a scenic adventure it is to have a picnic above the clouds.

Enjoy a picnic amongst the clouds on the Bear's Hump Hike in Waterton Park.

As you peer over the edge, you can look down on the town of Waterton and stare into Glacier National Park in Montana. Turn around and you can look upon the vast Alberta prairie.

On this autumn day, the sky was cloudy but the wind was calm.

Shortly after this photo was taken, a cloud rose past the top and swiftly floated up. The silence and beauty was tremendous!

This view always reminds me of why I love hiking Waterton Lake National Park.
