Skiing in Banff, Alberta doesn't get any better than Sunshine Village. This mountain jewel offers excellent scenery, snow & skiing and has three mountain faces to ski.
The Big Rock of Okotoks, Alberta is the largest glacial erratic in the world. It's impossible to miss this geological wonder as you travel southwest of the town. Walk around this immense boulder and witness the power of the ancient glaciers that dropped this colossal rock in the middle of a prairie field.
We're always up for a day in the mountains with the dogs. On a cool but sunny day, we had slept in and were feeling lazy, but still wanted to advantage of the beautiful weather and head outdoors. We chose Elbow Falls, located in Kananaskis Country and only 45 minutes from Calgary, Alberta.
